What We Do: Projects

Whenever we get the opportunity, we work on projects in partnership with the government and other agencies. At the present, TF hosts the following projects:

Eye Healthcare Project

In conjuction with Sankara Eyecare Institute, Anand - TF organizes around eight camps per month, in eight different locations, on fixed days of the month. Patients are identified at the village level by our trained village health workers, and then the village health worker brings the patient to the center. At the center, we facilitate Sankara staff and conduct the eye examinations. The patients who are in need of surgery are then taken to the Sankara Hospital, where they are operated on - without any charge - and they are provided with food. Sankara Hospital then takes the patients back to the respective centers.

As part of this project, TF works for the Gujarat government to provide reproductive and child health services in underserved and unserved villages in the Kheda district.

In partnership with Sahaj Vadodara, we work in Anklav and Umreth to provide maternal health accountability and to perform social autopsies of maternal deaths.

We work with Sardar Patel Arogya Mandal to provide hospital services to needy patients at minimal costs. We have ten hospitals on the health microinsurance panel in the Anand-Kheda-Mahisagar districts.

We work with Childline India Foundation for child helpline services. On average, we intervene in 20-30 cases per month.
